We support women affected by problematic alcohol and drug use.
We assist mothers to stabilise their drug and alcohol use, aim to prevent drug deaths of the women we help, avoid children being taken into care and keep families together.
We encourage mothers to regain control of their lives and create the best possible future for themselves and their young children.
We have a National Recovery House, based in Dundee, where we work with up to 4 women at a time to help them with their drug and alcohol recovery journey. We enable children, up to the age of five, to stay with their mums during their recovery.
We build relationships with families, putting the mums and their children’s needs first.
We offer 24/7 therapeutic and emotional support before, during and after the women come and stay in the house.
Support is provided in a nurturing environment, sensitive to past traumas or adversities women may have faced. It ranges from understanding the root causes of problematic alcohol and drug use to implementing evidence-based programmes such as “Parents under Pressure” and is offered on a 1:1 and group work basis.
We support women for as long as they need us after they have returned to their local communities.
