Supporting young people with care experience in East Renfrewshire to independent living.
Aberlour’s Emergency & Temporary Accommodation Support Service in East Renfrewshire is here to help young people aged 16–26 who are care experienced and living in temporary accommodation.
We’re here to support you as you transition into your own permanent home. We work closely with Social Work to make sure you get the help that works best for you.
How we help
We understand how challenging it can be to move into your own home. Our aim is to help you live independently by building on your strengths and developing new skills to manage your tenancy successfully.
Here’s what we can offer you:
- Housing Support: Advice and guidance with finding and maintaining
accommodation. - Benefits Support: Help with understanding and applying for the benefits
you’re entitled to. - Life Skills: Practical tips and support with budgeting, cooking, managing
utility bills, keeping your home safe, and staying on top of cleaning. - Wellbeing: We’re also here to support your emotional wellbeing, help with
employability, provide advocacy support, and anything else you might
need to prepare for living on your own.
