Are you interested in accessing childcare training?

Would you like to achieve the qualifications you need, to set you on the path to a career working with children?

Or do you already have experience working with children, and want to learn more?

If so, Aberlour Futures – Aberdeen City & Shire can help.

Aberlour Futures training and assessment centre is SQA accredited and offers vocational qualifications as well as training.

Our courses include Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) for adults who already have experience working in the Early Learning and Childcare sector, and Modern Apprenticeship programmes for young people (aged 16-19) looking to kickstart their careers.

Our schools’ programmes are delivered in partnership with secondary schools in Aberdeen and include Skills for Work in Early Learning and Childcare and the Foundation Apprenticeship in Social Services Children and Young People.   Both courses are aimed at young people in S4/5/6 and provide an excellent route into employment, college, or university.

We also offer short courses for Continued Professional Learning, including child protection, child development, play and outdoor learning, and many more.

The centre partners with local childcare employers to help their staff acquire the essential skills and knowledge to develop their childhood practice.
