The TEFL Org launches Charity of the Year partnership with Scotland’s largest children’s charity

The TEFL Org has announced that Aberlour Children’s Charity will be its Charity of Year partner for 2021.

Inverness based The TEFL Org is an internationally recognised and award-winning teaching company who teaches English to people who do not speak English as their first language.

Aberlour Children’s Charity is the perfect charity partner for The TEFL Org as it aligns perfectly with their ethos and values, helping children to develop important life skills and with their education. In supporting Aberlour, The TEFL Org are hoping to help families feed, clothe and keep their children warm, which will enable them to focus on their education and reach their potential.

The TEFL Org has planned a number of fundraising initiatives and every customer will have the opportunity to opt-in to donate £1, £2 or £5 to Aberlour during the online checkout, with The TEFL Org matching every donation. In addition, staff members will be recording their exercise miles for the month of February, with all money raised going towards Aberlour.

Aberlour works across Scotland providing a range of services including family support and youth work. Aberlour’s Urgent Assistance Fund has also been a lifeline for thousands of desperate families during the pandemic, giving emergency cash grants to pay for food, utilities, clothing, nappies and other basics. The charity also supports unaccompanied young refugees, who may have arrived in Scotland with nothing, through its Scottish Guardianship Service.
