Bayside Football Club Partnership

13 Mar 2023

Aberlour are delighted to be working in partnership with Bayside Football Club.

The football club committee voted for Aberlour to be their charity of choice. We are very grateful for their tremendous support and are thrilled to see the introduction of the new sky blue shirts prominently featuring the Aberlour logo.

Founded 20 years ago, with just thirteen players at Dalgety Bay Primary School hall, the club has grown exponentially. It now has 29 teams ranging from “Mini kickers” – the youngest age group at 3 years to over 35’s and also works in partnership with team united for Bayside FC Autism team. Bayside main objectives are supplying affordable football for all and supporting families during these difficult times.

Bayside football club has both male and female 11 a-side teams and play in the Fife leagues at Dalgety Bay and Aberdour. The girl’s branch of the club is very popular and currently has eight teams. The youngest teams play Fife Soccer Sevens Association based at Pitreavie which is also the club’s training base.

Over 80 dedicated club officials volunteer their time to train, coach and develop the talents of over 500 players.

Bayside’s emphasis is firmly on development and fun welcoming along children regardless of ability. The club motto is “Fun, friendship and football” and everything is founded on these values. Bayside has a very active social side and organises family events throughout the year including Race nights, Team bonding days and Player of the Year awards. The club also supports other local charities by holding an annual charity golf day which all donations on the day are donated. This summer the club will celebrate their 20 year anniversary with a dinner for over 350 people celebrating the success the club has had but also a thank you for all the volunteers in the past 20 years.

We look forward to working closely with the club and engaging with the Fife football community. The partnership will undoubtedly help build awareness of both organisations. We are excited by the opportunities this may provide to children and young people in our Aberlour houses in Fife whom we strive to give the best start in life.

We wish all the teams the very best of luck for the forthcoming season.
