Barratt Homes raises over £150,000 at annual charity dinner to help disadvantaged children in Scotland

3 Mar 2025

Barratt Homes West Scotland hosted an audience of 600 people to help raise an incredible £153,000 towards supporting children and families in need.

The annual charity dinner was held at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel on Friday 21st February 2025, with this year’s proceeds going to Aberlour Children’s Charity's Urgent Assistance Fund

The funds were raised through a number of activities including a raffle and live auction.

Scotland’s largest solely children’s charity offers care and support to families as early as possible, including residential and foster care, recovery for those affected by addiction, support for disabled children, financial relief to families struggling to provide food, heating and clothing as well as early intervention to prevent troubles deepening.

SallyAnn Kelly OBE, Chief Executive at Aberlour Children’s Charity, said:

What a way to kick off our 150th year as a charity with over £150,000 raised. This will ensure 1,500 children and their families across the West of Scotland access essentials like food, clothing and bedding. Our sincere thanks to David and his team at Barratt Homes West of Scotland, prize sponsors, table hosts and guests at the Charity Dinner.

David Scott, Managing Director at Barratt Homes West Scotland, said:

Aberlour Children’s Charity is a fantastic organisation, helping thousands of families in need across Scotland. Operating for over 150 years, we are proud to support the team and hope our donation will make a difference to those who really need it. We’ll continue to provide help where we can and want to thank everyone who played a part in raising this money, without you it wouldn’t be possible.
