Aberlour congratulates Scotland’s new First Minister

On the announcement of Scotland’s new First Minister, our Chief Executive SallyAnn Kelly OBE says:  “Aberlour offers warm congratulations to Humza Yousaf on becoming Scotland’s First Minister. We look forward to working with him and his government to incorporate UNCRC and tackle the poverty, disadvantage and discrimination faced by too many children, young people and families across the country. Delivering on these actions will take us a long way toward keeping The Promise.

We hope that the new First Minister will make ending child poverty the central ambition of his government and redouble efforts to lift families out of poverty. The scale of the challenge in front of us cannot be underestimated, and the new First Minister must now lead Scotland through a cost of living crisis, an energy crisis and a debt crisis all of which are hitting the poorest people in Scotland the hardest. We stand ready to support real change and to deliver challenge to Government if we fall short of making the difference so many of our children so desperately need”.
