How to Apply to be a Volunteer

At Aberlour, we believe that everyone has the power to make a positive impact. By joining our team of dedicated volunteers, you can help create lasting change in the lives of children and families. Follow these simple steps to start your volunteering journey with us:

  1. Express Your Interest Fill out our quick and easy online enquiry form or directly apply online for one of our currently advertised roles.

  2. Selection Process Let us get to know you better! We'll have a friendly chat about your motivations and interests in volunteering with Aberlour. If you have any questions, please email volunteering@aberlour.org.uk

  3. Application Process - You will need to provide details of two referees and complete a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) or Disclosure form. Don't worry if you have a criminal record—it won't necessarily stop you from volunteering with us. Each case is considered individually and with care.

  4. Begin Your Training Participate in our comprehensive training programme. We'll cover everything you need to know to make a positive impact.

  5. Ongoing Support You'll have a dedicated Volunteer Supervisor by your side, ensuring you feel confident and supported throughout your volunteering journey.
