Lawrie McDonald
Director of IT and Digital
Lawrie joined Aberlour having twenty-five years plus experience as a Director across the Private and Public Sectors for a variety of organisations including the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service and the Children’s Hearings Service.
He spent twelve years as a Digital/IT Director in Tertiary Education within the Public sector and recently worked in the Private sector.
While forming part of the leadership teams in these organisations, Lawrie specialised in digital and IT developments and services. Leading on technical mergers and organisational transformation, he maximised the use of digital capability and associated opportunities.
Lawrie’s qualifications include an MBA and a first-class honours degree. He is a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and Enterprise Architect (EA), as well as certified in cyber security, project management and a postgraduate of the IBM top Talent Programme.
